Profile improvement by reduction of the hump on the bridge and elevating
the nasal tip in this San Francisco rhinoplasty patient.
Young San Francisco woman with correction of hump on the bridge and slight
elevation of the tip. Rhinoplasty allows for the overall profile to be
changed from a “hooked” appearance to a natural straight orientation. See her video testimonial about her nose job
with Dr. David W. Kim.

Correction of very wide, bulbous nasal tip in this San Francisco woman.
Correction required conservative reduction of tip cartilage and structural
cartilage grafting during rhinoplasty to change the shape of the tip from
square to triangular.

Nasal obstruction and hooked, crooked nose. Nasal septum externally
and completely re-structured during rhinoplasty to improve breathing and
straighten nose. Profile improved by lowering the hump on the bridge and
slight elevation of the nasal tip – some curvature of the bridge
left to preserve some of the patient’s ethnic features.

This Marin young woman had problems breathing through her nose and also wanted some refinement of the tip and bridge. Dr. Kim performed a rhinoplasty with tip elevation and refinement along with nasal airway surgery to improve her breathing.

This Bay Area young woman desired cosmetic refinement of her profile and hanging nasal tip. Dr. Kim corrected performed rhinoplasty to elevate the nasal tip and lower a high nasal bridge.

This young woman from Marin complained of nasal obstruction as well as a desire for nasal refinement. Dr. Kim corrected her obstruction as well as lifting the tip of the nose and trimming down the bridge.
Correction of an outwardly curved high bridge (convex hooked nose) to
a better, straighter profile.
Young man with severe traumatic injury to nose. Had a deep laceration
through the skin and cartilage of the nose with the scar tissue causing
upward pull of the nasal tip. Cartilage graft reconstruction with rhinoplasty
was used to restore length and strength to the nose.

Rhinoplasty for San Francisco woman. Correction of wide nasal tip and
hooked appearance of nasal side view.
Rhinoplasty surgery performed to lengthen a congenitally short nose.
Lengthening the nasal tip created a more masculine appearance to the nose.
Young San Francisco Bay Area woman sought nasal surgery to correct a
narrow pinched nose and prominent hump on her bridge. Cartilage grafting
and reduction of the bridge performed during rhinoplasty.
Asian Bay Area patient with desire to make his nasal tip and base more
symmetric and narrow. Alar base reduction and structural cartilage grafting
performed.
This young Bay Area woman underwent rhinoplasty by Dr. Kim for elevation and refinement of the nasal tip and reduction of a hump on the bridge for an overall more balanced and feminine profile.
Correction of a bulbous tip on the front view and improvement of hump
on the bridge and hanging tip on the side view.

Dr. Kim performed rhinoplasty on this San Francisco woman with desire
to straighten the nose on the front view and correct the hooked orientation
of the nose on the side view. Profile improvement was accomplished with
dorsal reduction and tip elevation.

Rhinoplasty correction of isolated nasal tip and flared nostrils with
tip reconstruction with cartilage grafting for this San Francisco Bay
Area patient.

Patient wanted to preserve his strong ethnic features but soften the
severity of his curved nasal profile. Dr. Kim performed a conservative
reduction and tip elevation to achieve this goal.

Patient wanted to preserve her strong familial features but soften the severity of his curved nasal profile.
Correction of a very low hanging nasal tip with poor support and hooked
nose through structural re-orientation rhinoplasty with cartilage grafting.
Goal was for conservative change in order to retain general shape of the
nose while “softening” its features.

This young woman wanted to smooth the appearance of her nose from the front and elevate the hanging tissue (columella and infra-tip lobule) below the tip of her nose between her nostrils. Dr. Kim successfully created these changes through structural rhinoplasty.

Severe deformity caused by previous reduction rhinoplasty
in this San Francisco Bay Area woman. Pinching and irregularities of the
tip caused by over-aggressive reduction surgery. Correction required complete
restructuring and camouflage cartilage grafting.
Patient had severe distortion and nasal obstruction
from previous rhinoplasty. In this revision rhinoplasty, Dr. Kim grafted
structural cartilage to restore normal architecture
and strength to nose.

This Bay Area woman had previous rhinoplasty but wished that the tip of her nose was less prominent. Dr. Kim performed a finesse revision rhinoplasty to reduce the prominance of the tip.

Revision rhinoplasty. Patient suffered from pinching, obstruction and
irregularities from prior rhinoplasty. Dr. Kim restored strength and support
to the nose with cartilage grafting and opened the nasal airway for breathing
with septal surgery.
Revision rhinoplasty. This San Francisco patient had severe injury many
years previous and an attempt at correction with small rib graft reconstruction.
Original graft was too small and was replaced by Dr. Kim with a larger
rib graft placed to the bridge and tip of the nose. Much better appearance
and breathing resulted.

Revision rhinoplasty. Young Bay Area woman with burn injury to the
nostril during prior surgery causing webbing and obstruction. Dr. Kim opened
the nostril with a composite skin and cartilage graft from the ear.
Nose surgery for breathing problems is often performed along with procedures
to improve appearance at the same time.

Young San Francisco Bay Area woman with a crooked nose and nasal breathing
problems from surfing injury. Rhinoplasty to straighten nose with repositioning
the nasal bone and nasal septum. Improved profile by lengthening nose.
Improved breathing by straightening the septum at the base. See
Dr. Kim’s
publication on Management of the crooked nose.

Dr. Kim performed rhinoplasty on this young Bay Area women who severely injured
her nose in childhood. He corrected her severe breathing problem and severe crooked
nose deformity by completely restructuring the nasal structure and septum with
septal and ear cartilage.

This young woman initially saw Dr. Kim for severe internal nasal breathing problems. Dr. Kim was able to fix her nasal obstruction by straightening her crooked nasal septum and by using cartilage grafts to alleviate the nostril collapse she experienced when she breathed in deeply. She also wished to make some cosmetic changes to her nose. After surgery, she was able to breathe much better and had a more refined nasal tip with a more elegant slightly sloped profile. The contour of the side profile varies tremendously from individual to individual. For women, the contour should be straight or slightly concave (as seen in this patient). For men, the contour should be straight or slightly convex.

This Bay Area man had severe nasal obstruction and an unsightly bump on the bridge. During rhinoplasty Dr. Kim executed a structural re-orientation of the nose and septum to improve both appearance and function. The patient requested that Dr. Kim preserve some the natural curve of his nose on the profile in order to maintain some of his familial features.

This young woman sustained a blow to her nose when a friend accidentally kicked her on a dance floor! A severe nasal fracture caused her nose to become quite crooked and a bump to develop on her bridge. She was also severely obstructed internally due to septal deviation. Dr. Kim performed rhinoplasty, consisting of nasal bone repositioning, septal sub-total replacement, and reduction of the dorsal hump. The surgery resulted in a nose that is straight from the front and side. The breathing obstruction has been alleviated.

This Bay Area woman sustained an injury to her nose when she fell. She was severely obstructed internally due to septal collapse, which also caused the obvious external deformity. Dr. Kim performed rhinoplasty, consisting of rib cartilage reconstruction of the septum and nose. The surgery corrected the severe defomity and breathing obstruction.

This San Francisco woman complained of severe nasal obstruction as well as desire for cosmetic improvements of the nose. Dr. Kim created both functional and aesthetic improvements through rhinoplasty.

This San Francisco young man had severe trauma to the nose creating a crooked orientation, nasal obstruction, and an unsightly bump on the bridge. During rhinoplasty Dr. Kim executed a structural re-orientation of the nose and septum to improve both appearance and function.

This San Francisco young man had severe trauma to the nose creating a crooked orientation, nasal obstruction, and an unsightly bump on the bridge. During rhinoplasty Dr. Kim executed a structural re-orientation of the nose and septum to improve both appearance and function.
Severely crooked nose from ski accident. Nasal bone repositioning and
sub-total reconstruction of the nasal septum performed to straighten the
nose during rhinoplasty.

This San Francisco man complained of severe one-sided breathing problems through the nose as well as a desire to improve the profile appearance of his nose. Dr. Kim helped him achieve his goals through cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty.
